Storyline: Dean Pereira and Cindy Heller Pereira are a young, working class married couple - Dean currently working as a painter, and Cindy working as a nurse in a medical clinic - with a young daughter named Frankie. Despite their relatively tender ages, they are both ravaged by the life they've eked out together and by the experiences they've had leading into their marriage. Dean, a high school drop out, comes from a broken home, where he never really had a mother figure. He never saw himself getting married or having a family despite falling in love at first sight with Cindy. He is sent back to go through the whole thing again and attempts to find who the bomber is but fails. The bomb goes off and Stevens finds himself in the pod again. He is sent back another time, yet still cannot find out anything. When he returns, he asks what is going on. Plot holes: When Henri gives John his phone, he informs him that he'll be calling every hour John is on his own to make sure he's okay, and if John doesn't pick up, Henri will know something is wrong (implying he'll assume the Mogs have attacked John and will come looking for him). During dinner at Sarah's, John reluctantly surrenders his phone after noticing three missed calls from Henri. Despite the fact that John had not answered his phone for three hours, Henri did nothing about it, and does not even mention it at all afterward.

Continuity: During the scene where John throws the football back at Mark's friend, Sarah is just getting her camera out and doesn't take pictures of John until after he throws the football. However, when John is looking at her website later, there are a sequence of photos of him throwing the football.

Jamie Bell took ballet and other dance classes while in secondary school, which caused him to often be ridiculed by his peers. He used some of these experiences as inspiration while playing Billy Elliot.

In the final scene, the ballet in which Billy performs is Mathew Bourne's version of "Swan Lake" where all the Swans are played by men. Billy plays the part of the Swan, the same part he discusses with Mrs Wilkinson earlier in the film.

One of the great qualms of the entire film was whether Mrs. Wilkinson should be there in the final scene, where the older Billy Elliot performs Swan Lake. Eventually, it came down to the fact that 'Julie Walters' wasn't available for filming.

Billy Elliot's original title was 'Dancer', but when they took the film to the Cannes Film Festival, there was another film called Dancer in the Dark (2000), which won the Palmes D'Or, prompting confusion; indeed, Universal Studios called the directors, producers and writer up and congratulated them. They then realized they had to change the name and settled ('rather lamely', joked the writer) on 'Billy Elliot'.

The musical version of the film, which hit the West End in 2005 to rave reviews and numerous awards and nominations, reportedly cost £5.5 million to make: around £3 million more than the film version. Furthermore, the Broadway production cost $18 million to make, over three times as much as the original film's budget. All three were a financial success.

Jamie Bell is the only one of the four principals to actually come from the area where the film is set.

Jamie Bell was going through puberty at the time of filming. Some of his dialog had to be post-synched as his voice had broken. And the opening scene in which he jumps up and down on a bed to T-Rex's "Cosmic Dancer" was shot over a lengthy period of time. For the latter takes, Bell had acquired hair on his legs and had to have them shaved.

Continuity: The punch-bag in the dimly lit shot of the gymnasium when Mrs Wilkinson is talking to Billy is moving in one shot (at 00:39:15), then stationary in the next (00:39:21), then moving again (00:40:20).
Continuity: When Billy goes to visit his mother's grave, her gravestone describes her as "wife of Peter" (at 00:13:31). However, later in the film, Billy's dad is referred to as Jackie (at 00:22:51, 00:68:59 and 00:73:49).
Continuity: Right after Mrs. Wilkinson slaps Billy on the face, at the locker room, we see her from behind with her hands on her face (at 00:47:33 with fingers as if praying). In the next shot, her hands are in a totally different position (at 00:47:34 with clasped hands on her face).
Continuity: When Jackie is on the bus taking him back to the mines, the strikers pull the protective cage off the window of the right side of the bus. Moments later when the bus pulls into the coal yard, all the windows on the right of the bus have the protective caging.

Continuity: During the opening scene montage, when Ben is riding his bike across the bridge, the position of his backpack changes several times.

Continuity: When Ben meets with Mickey and the group for the first time, he explains the basic rules of 21 and deals himself a face-up card, then the camera cuts to Ben then back to Mickey and now Mickey's card is face down.

Continuity: In the shot of Ben counting cards on the first arrival in Vegas, Ben's tray is down. If the plane is as close to arriving as the view from the window shows, the trays would have to be in the "up and locked" position.

Continuity: During the chase seen at the end of the movie Kate Bosworth's character alternates between running in heels and running barefoot.

Continuity: When Ben is riding his bike on the bridge, a young guy with a lady are passing in the back stage. After this, when a yellow stripped bus passed behind Ben, that young guy and lady disappeared (it seems, they jumped into water) then another lady in white jacket appears who was absent before in the back stage.

Plot holes: In two separate places in the film, the player is hollering for the dealer to draw a "monkey" (a face card or a ten) when, in fact, a monkey would have given the dealer a winning hand. The first instance is when an Asian woman introduces the main character to the slang. The more egregious of the two instances is when the main character (who, by this time in the film, has established his big player credentials) calls out for a monkey twice when either of those times would have given the dealer a winning hand.

Crew or equipment visible: When Ben leaves the Hard Rock Hotel after their first night in Vegas, the shadow of the Cameraman and Camera on the dolly are visible on the hotel front and security guards in the background.

Factual errors: In the scene were we first see Ben in the casino playing for the first time, the count is +18. We then see a face card (worth 10) appear and Ben wins. Micky then asks him what the count is. He says +18, but it's really +17 because a face card has a value of -1.

Revealing mistakes: All the cards in the casino scenes have rounded corners opposite the index numbers, identifying them as used cards that have since been removed from use on the casino floor and altered so they can never be sneaked back into play.

Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When Miles shows Ben the source code of the robot, Ben looks at them and immediately says this is very good. Actually, even a highly experienced programmer could not understand a source code just by looking at it for 2 seconds, especially the code of a really complex system such as this robot.

The name of Tom Felton's character Dodge Landon is a reference to the characters Dodge (Jeff Burton) and Landon (Robert Gunner), Colonel Taylor's (Charlton Heston) fellow astronauts in Planet of the Apes.

The orangutan character befriended by Caeser in prison is named Maurice after actor Maurice Evans, who played the orangutan Doctor Zaius in the original Planet Of the Apes (1968).

This is the second film in which Andy Serkis plays an ape, having previously portrayed 2005's version of King Kong. He was also the motion capture actor for Gollum in Lord of the Rings, where he bites off Frodo's finger. His ape character Caesar bites the neighbor's finger in this role, too.

The name given to Caesar's mother is "Bright Eyes" due to the coloration in her eyes caused by the ALZ-112 virus. "Bright Eyes" is the name given to Taylor (Charlton Heston) by Dr. Zira (Kim Hunter) in the original Planet of the Apes.

In one scene, Caesar is shown handling a 3D puzzle of the Statue of Liberty, in reference to the the ending of the original Planet of the Apes.

Caesar uses a bundle of sticks to explain to Maurice how an ape alone is weak but apes together are strong. The bundle of sticks, or fasces, was a symbol of authority in ancient Rome, the origin of Caesar's name. Caesar's charisma is also reminiscent of Benito Mussolini, who adopted the fasces as the symbol of his Italian Fascist party. The fasces or bundle of sticks concept is also used in several symbols in the architecture of the American White House and Captiol and is the subject of the Aesop fable "The Bundle of Sticks" about a father demonstrating to his sons how they should work together:

The title is quoted from the poem "Eloisa to Abelard" by Alexander Pope (1688-1744). This poem was used in Charlie Kaufman's earlier project Being John Malkovich. The movie is based on the following quote from an Alexander Pope poem, "How happy is the blameless vestal's lot! The world forgetting, by the world forgot. Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind! Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd."

When Joel is in his head and is visiting his session of the erasing process, no special effects were used to show the two Joels in the one scene. Jim Carrey had to take off his hat and jacket when he was not in shot and had to quickly sit down in the chair and visa-versa when he has to stand up.

Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead (1990) Trivia

Richard Dreyfuss' part was to be played by Sean Connery, who abandoned the film for a bigger paycheck in The Hunt for Red October.

The title comes from one of the final lines of "Hamlet", where a British ambassador enters the Danish court to find Hamlet, Claudius, Gertrude, and Laertes all dead. The ambassador's line is, "...To tell the King his commandment is fulfilled, that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead."

The opening song at the beginning of the movie is Pink Floyd's "Seamus" (Meddle, 1971). The version included in the movie is an instrumental version. The album version has vocals. During the theatre company's performance of pseudo-Hamlet, a sound bit from Pink Floyd's "Echoes" (also from Meddle, 1971) can be heard. The sound of the rapier sword is the first note heard in "Echoes".

The pieces of paper blowing around throughout the course of the movie are actually the pages of the Latin Vulgate Bible, as can be seen on the close-up of Rosencrantz's apple pinwheel (specifically, The Prophecy of Zacharias, chapter 8).

Originally, the two leads (who appropriately spend the movie mixing up their own names) were cast the other way around.

While on the ship bound for England, Tim Roth remarks, "I think I'll spend the rest of my life on boats." He does just that in the La leggenda del pianista sull'oceano ("The Legend of 1900"), in which his character spends his entire life on a cruise liner, never once stepping on dry land.

This movie is based on the original Broadway production of "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" by Tom Stoppard and opened on October 9, 1967 at the Alvin Theater, ran for 420 performances and won the 1968 Tony Award for Best Play.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs: When Rosencrantz and Guildenstern first encounter The Player, it is day, and then suddenly changes to night. At times, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are in a night-time setting, but when the shot changes to show the The Player and his Tragedians, the sky is blue/grey. However, this is probably intentional. Absurdist drama often features a vague or ill-defined setting, including time of day. Tom Stoppard also wrote the stage play on which his screenplay is based, which features several such apparent jumps in time continuity as a means of promoting or maintaining a sense of confusion in the audience.

This Too Shall Pass - OK Go

Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the doctor tells the trio (Phil, Stu, and Alan) that Doug's blood work had come back, he tells them that Doug had a large amount of a drug called Ruphylin in his system. He then clarifies by saying "Ruphylin... roofies. Commonly known as the date-rape drug." The drug known as "roofies" is called Rohypnol, but a doctor looking at a blood work report would have likely referred to it by its generic name, flunitrazepam, or by its drug class, benzodiazepine.

Boom mic visible: During the scene in the convenience store, right after the clerk gives the total for the purchase, a boom mic can be seen at the top of the screen for about half a second.

Errors in geography: Towards the beginning of the film, when Alan makes the mistake of saying "ri-tard" instead of "retard", it appears that Doug is driving in the middle lane, as a car passes them on the left. However, in the long-shot where we see the car snaking up to the camera, it is obvious that it's only a two-line road.

Continuity: Right after the scene where the guys let Mr. Chow out of the trunk. Alan was sitting against the front wheel of the car. As the camera angle changed he was sitting against the door. And as the camera angle changed once more, he was sitting in front of the wheel again.

Continuity: During the scene after a nude Mr. Chow attacks Phil, Stu, and Alan, the driver side door is wide open, but it had nearly fully closed after Phil first exited the car.

Continuity: When the girl is aiming at Phil with the taser gun, her arm alternates from straight to bent and back to straight again.

Continuity: When Stu is waking up on the floor from the hangover, the chicken is behind his head. The next shot from a different angle shows the chicken at the top of his head.

Continuity: In first shot of the next day with Stu laying on floor there is a "Monster" can about a tile away from his head. When he stands up, it is no longer in sight.

Continuity: When talking to Dr. Valsh in the hospital scene, Phil starts to write down "Best Little Chapel" on a piece of paper. He then asks Dr. Valsh where it is. After he tells Phil to get a map, the following shot of the piece of paper has nothing written on it and Phil rewrites "Best Little Chapel".

Continuity: (At 35:07) Bikini girls walk by twice when Alan hands Stu the tooth.

Continuity: Towards the beginning of the film, after Doug says "it's not easy" and while Alan talks about Rain Man (1988), a white van can be seen passing them quickly on the left (which Phil glances at). After Alan makes the mistake of saying "ri-tard" and Stu says "What?", the same exact white van is seen again, but this time going slower and moving backwards. In addition, after Doug corrects Alan by saying "REtard", the white van is no longer there.

Continuity: During the taser scene both of Alan's arms are stretched out in front of him when the officer pats him on the rear. When the camera immediately cuts to the officer asking the kids about taking fingerprints, Alan's left arm is now by his side.

Continuity: When Alan was hit with the taser and falls on the table, he initially falls on his side. When the angle changes to where Officer Franklin pats him on the rear, Alan is face-down on the table with both arms up. And when the children get up to leave the room, Alan's arms are down beside his side.

Continuity: Alan has a plastic grocery bag with the liquor in the hotel room when he sings "Who Let The Dogs Out?" As they are walking down the hallway, he isn't carrying the bag. But it reappears when they are waiting for the elevator.

Continuity: On the way back to LA for the wedding. Doug is holding his hat with his left hand and reaches into his pocket with his right hand and holds up a bunch of chips from the Bellagio. In the next camera angle he is holding his hat with his right hand and holding up the chips in his left hand.

Desolation Row - My Chemical Romance

Continuity: Alan admits he slipped a roofie into each of the shots taken on the roof of the casino. However, in that scene, he hands each of the other characters an empty shot glass and pours while they hold them. It would be extremely unlikely that none of the other guys wouldn't notice a pill in the glass already or Alan dropping one in each after pouring. The only possible explanation for this is that Alan put four roofies in the bottle of Jager before handing out the glasses, but doesn't seem likely since he says it was one hit each. Four hits in a full bottle would make individual shots more dilute than a full hit per shot.

Continuity: Toward the end when Sid is talking to Doug about giving him the car Sid takes his glasses off. When Doug gets up to walk out the door Sids glasses are back on.

Continuity: In the scene on the rooftop where they do shots of Jaeger, they do a second shot but at no point were the glasses ever refilled.

Continuity: When the Chinese run into the side of the Mercedes, there's no evidence of damage on the SUV when they back up and then get out to confront the guys about the money.

Continuity: Black Doug's shirt changes between shots as the guys are driving away after the exchange with Mr. Chow.

Continuity: When Alan sings "Who Let the Dogs Out?" the bathroom door is wide open, but when camera turns to Phil, the door is closed.

Continuity: During Alan and Doug's fitting for tuxedos, some of the buttons on Doug's shirt change from done to undone when the camera angle changes.

Continuity: In the scene in the parking lot, Phil's blue shirt has blood spots on it, but when his chest is seen in partial profile after a cut, the shirt is totally clean.

Continuity: When the guys are in handcuffs at the police station, they are stretched out so that Phil can reach the pay phone on the wall. As he is talking, a cop wearing glasses is seen walking up behind him. The scene cuts away then back to Phil and the same cop is again walking up behind him.

Continuity: When Mr. Chow comes out of the trunk, he beats Phil to the ground, which is dusty dirt. When Phil stands up later in the scene, after Mr. Chow has run off, his jeans are so covered with tan dust they look painted. In the same scene, after an immediate cut, the jeans have been brushed clean.

Continuity: When Stu is sitting in the back seat with Little Carlos, he reaches over with his left hand to rub the baby's stomach. Carlos is on his right side, and Stu's right arm is straight down. When they widen the shot, Stu has his right arm resting across the top of the back seat, and then lowers it to his side.

Continuity: After the guys find Doug on the roof, Doug tackles Phil. Doug immediately starts writhing in pain from his bad sunburn. Yet only a few hours later after the wedding, Doug chest bumps Phil and shows no pain.

Continuity: The damage to the car keeps changing during the movie.

Revealing mistakes: It's daytime in the hallway when the guys come out to "Who Let the Dogs Out?" even though it's supposed to be night time.

Revealing mistakes: When Alan is getting up after the three guys are beat up by Leslie Chow, and Stu hits him in the head with the door, you can see Alan hit the car with his hand to make the thumping sound of his head hitting the car door.

Revealing mistakes: In the scene where Phil, Stu, Alan and Carlos (Tyler) are at the hotel pool, Alan is jerking Carlos's hand to make it look like he's masturbating at the table. It is an entirely different baby in the next shot with Carlos.

Revealing mistakes: When Eddy brings out the "Highroller Package" that was ordered, the picture of Stu and Jade is in broad daylight. Jade had said the wedding was at about "1". The valet ticket that Alan finds also says they were back at the hotel by 5:15am, before the sun would have even risen.

Sinopsis: La Pasión de Cristo recrea las últimas doce horas en la vida de Jesús de Nazaret (James Cazaviel)desde el momento en el que acude al Huerto de los Olivos (Getsemaní) a orar tras la Última Cena, enfrentándose a las tentaciones de Satanás. Allí sufre la traición de Judas Iscariote (Luca Lionello), siendo arrestado y conducido a Jerusalén para ser juzgado por blasfemia, según denuncian los fariseos.

Jesús es presentado ante Pilatos (Histro Naumov), el Gobernador Romano en la provincia, quien escucha las acusaciones levantadas contra él y se da cuenta de que se trata de un conflicto político, delegando el asunto en el Rey Herodes que no tarda en devolverlo a las autoridades romanas para ser juzgado.

De nuevo ante Pilatos, éste ofrece al pueblo la oportunidad de elegir a quien liberar: a Jesús o al asesino Barrabás. La multitud elige a Barrabás y condena a Jesús, que es puesto en manos de los soldados romanos y flagelado como castigo.

Aunque Pilatos trata de hacer ver a la multitud que el castigo ya ha sido suficiente, los fariseos no lo consideran así. Lavándose las manos, ordena a sus hombres cumplir los deseos del pueblo y Jesús es condenado a muerte.

Jesús deberá cruzar las calles de Jerusalén cargando con la cruz camino del Gólgota, lugar en el que será crucificado. Allí, clavado a la cruz, superará la última tentación: el temor a ser abandonado por su Padre. Sobreponiéndose a su miedo, mira a María (Maia Morgenstern), su madre, y pronuncia palabras que sólo ella puede entender: “Todo está acabado”; finalmente expira diciendo: “En tus manos entrego mi espíritu”. Las fuerzas de la naturaleza se rebelan en el momento de la muerte de Cristo.
